The Amrit Bharat Station Scheme (ABSS) was launched by the Ministry of Railways to redevelop and modernize more than 1,300 railway stations across India.

The upgrade aims to improve the experience of thousands of daily commuters who use the station.

Under the redevelopment plan, Naihati station may eventually include:
