However, TV9 Bangla has not verified the authenticity of the video. It is learnt that Shekhar Bhowmik, the brother of Naihati Municipality CIC and MP Partha Bhowmik, was also in the police vehicle. The notice came from the Election Commission soon after the incident. The notice said that Naihati Police Station IC Mahabir Bera was being suspended for taking the municipality chairman to the Acid O office in a police car. According to commission sources, Prakash Dhara will be the new IC in his place. A political row has started over this incident. The video was posted on the X handle by BJP candidate Arjun Singh. He questioned the role of the police. At the same time, drawing the attention of the Commission, Arjun Singh wrote in the caption, “The Election Commission is trying to ensure that the police work completely impartially, but practice is practice.
